We will also be hosting 2 educational mini-meetings about geocaching during the event for new and beginner cachers or for people who want to know what the great sport of Geocaching is about. There will be beginner GPS units available for people to try out and a "Beginners Course" setup to help sharpen your geocaching senses.

Officially the event kicks off at 1pm sharp, but please feel free to start arriving as early as noon to get yourself settled in, catch up with old friends and meet some new friends.

On Going Events
These are events which do not have a “specific” start and stop time and
can be enjoyed through out the event

Closest To The Coordinates:
Before the event begins, coordinates for a specific spot will be determined and during the event you can place a holder with your name on it where you think the coordinates are. The winner will be determined by whom ever is closest to the pre-determined coordinates.

Cache-A-Rama:
Several temporary caches will be placed through-out the park for the day. Visit all of the caches and retrieve the special item from each cache to win a cool prize.

Getting To Know You:
Meet fellow cachers and answer secret questions about them to win a prize.

Potluck & BBQ:
**Please bring serving utensils with your dishes**
Cachers A-F please bring a side dish
Cachers G-S please bring a salad
Cachers S-Z please bring a dessert
Hot Dogs and all the fixings will be provided ($1 suggested donation per hotdog)
Lemonade, water, utensils and plates will be provided

There will be a table set aside for TB / Coin Trading, discovery as well as an extensive signature item display to help encourage the creation of signature items.

In the time leading up to the event, the organizers will be leaving "Golden Tickets" in caches through out the Portland area. If you are lucky and find one of these elusive raffle tickets, please bring it with you for a special drawing!

There are several picnic tables at the park, but you might want to bring your own lawn chairs just incase seating becomes limited.

Want to donate a door-prize? Contact one of the organizers to find out how!

PLEASE post a “Will Attend” log if you are coming so that we will have enough of everything for everyone.
Also, please let us know what you are bringing so that we don't have 30 plates of brownies and 1 fruit salad.

In order to help offset some of the cost of hosting this event, we will be selling raffle tickets throughout the day. The drawing will start at 3:30. We have TONS of great prizes - Gift Certificates, Geo-Swag, Loaded Ammo Cans and lots more. The Pièce de résistance of the raffle - a bran-spankin NEW GPS! (insert crowd noise here) AHHHHHhhhh... OOOoohhhhhh....

For all the cachers trying to be more green, start saving your dead batteries and bring them to the event for recycling
as we will have a "Dead Battery Bucket".

The information on this page is expected to change as we get closer to the event,
so make sure to check back often!

Don't forget to bring your GPS!
Unless you plan on winning it in the raffle!
