“Centerfield” was the title song on John Fogerty’s 1985 album. Fogerty was a founding member, main songwriter and lead vocalist for Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). After CCR broke-up in 1972, Fogerty embarked on a solo career. Centerfield was Fogerty’s most successful post-CCR album. Fogerty played all the instruments on the album Centerfield, thanks to the studio magic of multi-tracking and overdubbing. The album sold over 2 million copies and reached #1 in March 1985.
