Next to the Dnieper River there was once a memorial to people who fought in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).
The monument struck me as an interesting place to bring people, and hence a cache was in order.
The original cache was a black micro on the north side of the anchor located on the north side of the monument, tucked between the chain and the base. I mentioned in the original description "Please be discreet as this is a busy area, and take a moment to remember those people from around the world who fought for freedom in the Second World War."
Unfortunately the Cenotaph is no more; it was removed when the road going past was modified. The cache has now been changed to a magnetic in the hand rail of a walkway by the road. You can reach the pedestrian walkway by the boardwalk on the river side, and the cache is near where it starts. Use the pedestrian bridge near the McDonalds to reach the boardwalk; DO NOT attempt to run across the busy road.
