Welcome to Bear Valley!
This area has activities year round. In the winter there's downhill and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In the summer there's hiking, swimming, bicycling, canoeing and kayaking, tennis... Every summer, there are also concerts nearby.
The cache container is a tube which contains a log and some small trade items. It should be very easy to find in the summer. In the winter, it will be impossible to find unless you want to dig with a shovel which would take you a long time and attract unwanted attention.
The cache is NOT located on or near the bear statue, so please don't climb it. It is also NOT located in the rocks at the base of the "Bear Valley" sign. Please refer to the hint if you can't find it.
Also, please take care to cover cache well. There is a disc golf course very nearby and muggles might be watching what you're doing.
