Geocache Description:


This cache is the third in a series of the locations of the various bonfire societies in East Sussex, it compliments the series by Brightonian of the Lewes Societies.

Mayfield carnival is held every year on the third Saturday in September, there are many activities during the day and two major torchlit processions followed by fireworks and a funfair at night. As we are still relatively early in the season there is no bonfire. Mayfield is only a smallish place but the whole area is crammed on the day.

Next in the series is Burgess Hill.
