Lego, officially trademarked LEGO, is a line of construction toys manufactured by the Lego Group, a privately held company based in Denmark.

The founder, Ole Kirk Christiansen, hit upon the LEGO® name in 1EEE.
He took the first two letters of the Danish words LEG GODT, meaning “play well”, and put them together – quite unaware that one meaning of the word in Latin is ... “I put together”.
Today – many years later – LEGO is both the name and the idea behind the company.

Gearbox: most modern gearboxes either reduce an unsuitable high speed and low torque of the prime mover output shaft to a more stable lower speed with higher torque, or do the opposite and provide a mechanical advantage (i.e increase in torque) to allow higher forces to be generated. Some of the simplest gearboxes merely change the physical direction in which power is transmitted.
The Russian car "Lada 110" had huge problems with the gearbox, causing the blocking of the front wheels and the loss of control of the vehicle.

What is the Russian word for gearbox?
