Texas Holdem Poker Geocoin Style

A friendly game of Texas Holdem Poker, available to everyone, even those you have never played this style of poker before are welcome to participate.
Texas hold 'em (also hold'em, holdem) is the most popular poker game in the casinos and poker card rooms across North America and Europe.[1] Hold 'em is a community card game where each player may use any combination of the five community cards and the player's own two hole cards to make a poker hand, in contrast to poker variants like stud or draw where each player holds a separate individual hand.

Entry into the game is one unactivated geocoin trackable on geocaching.com. If you do not have geocoins available, Plan B will have copies of his coins for sale at the event.
this is your buy in and you are given a set number of poker chips to play.
due to time restrictions Blinds will increase quickly making the game aggressive and fast paced.

Winner takes 75% of geocoins
2nd place takes 25%
3rd place his entry fee back.

Travel Bug Race

How it works: bring an unactivated Travel Bug DogTag or Travel Slug to the event along with your racing item, That is all that you need to do in order to be in the race, all Travel bugs will be activated at the same time and dropped off into the same cache at the same time. from here the race is on to the worlds very first geocache tribute plaque (GCGV0P) Each racer can collect all sorts of points along the way. Next year at the next Red Deer Geo Event the owner of the racer with the most points will win the grand prize.

Do you want to race? here is what to do:

  1. Buy a Hitchhiker (Travel Bug Dog Tag, or Travel Slug)
  2. Bring it along with a Item to attach the tag with , this will be your racer.
  3. Submit your racer along with your entry fee
  4. Once told to by race offical activate your bug and watch it earn points

Entry Fee is $10.00 per Racer, or $20.00 buys you your entry fee + a Travel Bug Dog Tag, Geocachers are welcome to race more than 1 bug, but are only entitled to win 1 of the prizes (1 Owner can not take home first and second place) all funds collected will be used towards prizes for the winners of the race.
