Geocache Description:

Historic Bolivar Pioneer Cemetery

In the 1700's, the area around Bolivar and the Tuscarawas River Valley was home to a large Delaware Indian village. They had been granted the use of the land by the Wyandots.

In 1761, less than a mile north/northwest from this spot, Christian Frederick Post, a missionary, built the first cabin in what would become the state of Ohio.

Dawn to dusk only.
