Geocache Description:



While caching in the area with three of my favorite caching partners, my brother-in-law Churre11, my father-in-law R-L-Painter any my loyal black lab/sport-utility-vehicle of a dog Boone (can you guess what year we got him?), I decided that I would like to do a bit of exploring higher up the walls of this canyon and hide a cache of my own.

Using the material that I already had available, a notebook and an ammo can, we decided to scramble a bit uphill to explore the area and to place this cache. At the moment, there is no swag, only the notebook is in the cache.

Please note that it is a significant off-trail scramble to reach this cache. You will need to test your skills in route finding over steep, rocky terrain and boulder fields. Common sense is your friend so please only attempt this cache if you the terrain fits within your capabilities and plan accordingly. Obviously, the cacher assumes all responsibility for their own safety while seeking this cache. No cache is worth injury and I would hate to see anyone injured in pursuit of this cache.

That being said, my dog did make it to the cache location with only a nudge and a shove here and there.

In finding this cache you will be rewarded with great views of the valley, Icicle Creek and the surrounding area.

Painter & Churre beta-tested the coordinates and the find and will log this cache after it publishes but won’t claim the “official” FTF.
