Geocache Description:

Area accessible for sled dogs ;)

This is the first cache in a series of "Iditarod" check points. The Anchorage cache represents the start of your madness to find all caches along the Iditarod trail. For the actual Iditarod race, the whole Anchorage start is phony as it is really just for television, fans, and sponsors. Truth is you can't run a sled-dog team from Anchorage to Nome because there is a freeway system that runs between the two.

Of course, you will not need a sled-dog team to find this cache and certainly no worries of a freeway system here.

Log book and pen included. Cache size will make it difficult for trade objects, although coins and travel bugs may fit fine.

GPS can bounce around GZ.
