There is a little bit of a climb for this one, and there is loose footing in some spots so be careful. Cache is at approximately 6850' in elevation. The cache is well hidden, and this site is explored by sightseers passing by, so please be sure to replace the cache to its hiding place. Thanks, and enjoy.
This spot overlooks the Emigrant Wilderness so be sure to bring your camera if you don't frequent this neck of the woods. The cache is a reptile and amphibian theme. I chose this theme because quite a few years back I stopped at this overlook on a full moon winter night while riding my snowmobile. I could have swarn that I heard a very loud frog croaking. It couldn't have been a frog due to the time of year and the chilly temperatures, but it sure sounded like one. I headed back down to the warmth of the cabin and the wood stove. However, I always think of that night when I pass this spot. Not only about the bright view of the snow covered peaks and ridges, but also about the mysterious croak. Enjoy!
