MainePublisher: All geocache placements must have a responsive owner. The cache owner must be able to respond to issues that come up and to submit an "owner maintenance" log to remove the "needs maintenance" icon.

In this case, Groundspeak has sent an email to the cache owner with no response. The cache owner did not respond to any of the cachers hoping to find the cache and did not respond to the reviewer note so the cache is now archived.

The cache location is now open for any Geocacher to place a new cache, including the original cache owner.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located off the Roger Guerette Community Trails. It's an easy walk/hike on well maintained running trails. Note: the cache is a little ways off the trail. Be careful when conditions are slippery and wet!

The cache is a small water tight container. (Look for a small see-thru blue container about a liter in volume.) There is a Geocaching.com sticker on the lid. Inside the container you will find a few glow-in-the-dark trinkets.

Ever see the move Shawshank Redemption? You know the part where Morgan Freeman finds the chunk of obsidian and the box full of money? Well, this cache is kind of like that except that there isn't any volcanic glass and there isn't any money. Just find the rock that doesn't quite belong and you'll see what I mean. Note: don't give up if it is not exactly next to the special rock. Geocachers keep finding "better" hiding spots and the location keeps changing slightly.
