Geocache Description:

Part of the new contest. Easy terrain. Nice place for a lunch if desired. Could even catch a movie if you were there at the right time.

I didn't realize this area had a small pond. It was a nice surprise. The name Serengeti conjures up images of one of the last remaining wildlife spectacles on earth. The Serengeti National Park, the largest in Tanzania, is about 14,763 sq kms in area. The park's name, Serengeti, means 'endless plains' and is derived from the Maasai language. The Serengeti is one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in the world, and the commitment to its preservation shown by the government of Tanzania is important in a country faced by land shortage and a rising population. Now mind you where is this cache is placed in not the endless plains. If you close you eyes you could imagine it as a watering hole and the wildlife that could be there drinking. Come on now use you imagination! As always, be stealthy and replace as found.
