This cache is located in Schramm State Park Recreation Area,
Nebraska's oldest "recreation grounds". Schramm is the location
of the Ak-Sar-Ben Aquarium Outdoor Education Center and Gretna
Fish Hatchery. The park is located along the Platte River 6 miles
south of exit 432 on I-80 (outlet mall exit) or approximately 6
miles west of the junction of Hwy 31 and Hwy 50. There is parking
at the Ak-Sar-Ben aquarium (free) or inside the park entrance 1/8
of a mile southeast near the fish hatchery (State Park Permit
required).
Nebraska State Park permits and trail guides can be picked up at the
aquarium. The aquarium hours are seasonal and are as follows:
Spring:
10:00am-4:30pm Wednesday through Monday
Summer:
10:00am-4:30pm weekdays and 10:00am-5:00pm weekends & holidays
Fall:
10:00am-4:30pm Wednesday through Monday
Winter:
10:00am-4:30pm Wednesday through Sunday
Schramm contains approximately 3 miles of nature trails divided
into two connecting loops. Trail #1 aquaints hikers with a variety of Nebraska
trees and shrubs. Trail #2 is a more "backwoods" trail.

The container is a standard ammo box painted camoflauge with a white stencil on both sides.
