Geocache Description:

Our first event - holding it on the Labor Day Weekend. Reccomend 4x4 access only (stock Jeep TJ can make it) to the camping site - from there we will hike the few hours to the Cache. Arriving at the camping location on Saturday night to start the hike in at 10 AM on Sunday.

If you do not have a 4x4 please let us know and we will try to pair people up. We will have up to 10 extra seats if people are willing to help with the gas bill to take the Suburban and Jeep as we have two vehicles that can get us in there - we can either bring you from the lower mainland if you want to bring your camping gear and cache the weekend with us or we can pick you up closer (say Boston Bar etc). If you do have a 4x4 and are coming and have seats please post that as well

Coordinates listed right now are for the Cache we placed, camping is there - additional are for cache #GC9284

From Stoyoma to Sl...
Conair @ Stoyoma - a cache that many people want to get - we tried last weekend and it escaped us - we got there and there was still snow on the bottom of the trail. Thought perhaps another time would be safer, as we still had the trail ahead of us. We also thought what better way to host our first event then to go get this cache.

Camping at Cabin lake - divine! - We did - it's beautiful - we also know where the trail head is. Please come join us for a great weekend. Updated information still to come - We did hide a cache there. We do request, since this area is so empty of caches - that if you come you place a cache somewhere along the route or in the area. We recomend coming in Saturday night, as we'd like to leave at 10 AM on Sunday morning for the hike. That leaves you Monday to finish your long weekend - and no matter what your route - there's always caches to get!

We have posted a link as the first "note on this cache that will will take you to the story of the area..it tells the history of who was in the crash his name was Eric Yuill, a pilot for Conair Aviation - and he was a fire fighter who lost his life. So Please come join us for our first event - we will be having fun and games as well - Jordy is an old scout leader so he's got a few tricks to pull out of his bag.. :)
