Geocache Description:

This is a multi-cache you can enjoy while visiting the “World Famous” San Diego Zoo. The waypoints are scattered throughout the entire area of the zoo, so you don’t miss anything.

Each waypoint will bring you to an area where you will have to gather info from signage or other items to find your way to the next way point. The final is an altoids tin hidden in Balboa Park outside the zoo, so save the final stage until you have thoroughly enjoyed you visit to the zoo.

The layout of the zoo can be a bit confusing, even with a map. It should go without saying- NO BUSHWACKING! Stay on the paths, enjoy the animals, and you’ll find the waypoint. The lush plantings of the zoo can cause GPS interference at times, but all the waypoints have reasonably good reception. The terrain rating is for length of the walk. The paths are all paved and there are plenty of resting spots.
