This regular cache is easy to find and the container is small and it contains the normal goodies. The cache is located near a water fountain and hidden under two flat stone rocks. Please do not break down the fountain in search of this one. The ladies managing the establishment know about the location but not the gardeners or other workers. Also please note that this cache is only available from 08h30 to 16h30 as requested by owner.
We normally get onto the N1 as fast as possible and then we “fly” down to the Western province as fast as possible. Yesterday we made a decision to take the back roads and roads less travelled. This time we used the Maloti road back to Ermelo. It is shorter than the N1 route we normally use. The scenery is fantastic along this road. Most people are adhering to the 100 km/hr speed limit and the road is not that bad. While the sun was setting the mountains created a different atmosphere.
We then notice this little rest area – the only one worth stopping for on this road. What impressed me about this location is the artistic feeling that I experienced. The person running this establishment is using ordinary items to create something different from them. Even the benches are not made of plastic and steel but from something natural. The food we received was great and the atmosphere was farmyard style. I do not want to say too much but this is worth visiting. The reason for this is for you to discover.
