While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

På dette stedet i Østmarka ble norges første speidertropp, 1.Kristiania Speidertropp, startet 23.mai 1910 av Chr.Dons.
Dette var starten på det som i 1911 ble til Norsk SpeiderguttForbund, i 1921 Norsk Speiderpikeforbund, og til slutt i 1978 Norges Speiderforbund.
Chr. Dons opplevde speiderarbeidet på nært hold i england, likte ideen, og tok den med tilbake til Norge.
i 1961, på 50årsdagen for stiftelsen av speiderbevegelsen i Norge, ble bautaen med speiderlilje uthugget i stein reist her.
Steinene som danner sokkelen til liljen, består etter sigende av steiner påført navnet til alle speidergruppene som var aktive i 1961.

ENGLISH: On this hilltop, the first norweegian scout troop was founded on may 23rd 1910 by Chr. Dons, who brought the scout movement to norway from england. the first scout troop was named 1.Kristiania Speider tropp, and was the start of the Norwegian Scout Assosiation.
On the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Norwegian Scout Assosiation, in 1961, the bauta with the french lilly was placed here, in memory of Chr.Dons, the father of Norwegian Scouting.

Not the greatest GPS conditions in the area, so all contributions og better coords ar more than welcome.
