Geocache Description:

The "family friendly" Black Bear Trail Cache is located on the grounds of the Iroquois Indian Museum in Howes Cave, NY.

The Black Bear Trail Cache is located on the 45-acre nature trail surrounding the Iroquois Indian Museum. Park at the Iroquois Museum and plan to stay for a picnic lunch as well as a visit to this modern museum building designed in the shape of a traditional longhouse where contemporary Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) artwork and archeological artifacts are used as a window into Haudenosaunee culture and history.The Museum includes an interactive children's area and a unique gift shop featuring original Haudenosaunee artwork. Museum building is open to the public April-December, Tuesday-Sunday. Closed on Mondays and January-March. For further information visit www.iroquoismuseum.org.
