This cache is located in the beautiful Butterfly Garden on the grounds of Green Lawn Cemetery.
This is the description of the Butterfly Garden from the Green Lawn web site:
"Butterfly Garden
Although monarchs and skippers have always been present at Green Lawn, they now have a designated place that provides for their natural growth and development.
In 1996, the Columbus Audubon Society began developing a Green Lawn butterfly garden, just west of the administration building. The garden now consists of three planted areas, with the larger back section being a native prairie garden. These planted areas include cultivars and native species that provide habitat or nectar sources for adult butterflies and humming birds.
Butterfly tours are available in the summer months each year. The gardens not only successfully attract and nurture butterflies, they also enhance the natural color and beauty of the park."
The gates to Green Lawn are open 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM November through April and 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM May through October. Parking is available at the Green Lawn Office building, which is also located very close to the Butterfly Garden.
NOTE: There is a letterbox hidden very close to this cache's location, for those who might be interested. Not to be confused, the letterbox is a Tupperware container with blue lid, the cache is a pill bottle covered with camo duct tape.
Enjoy visiting this beautiful spot!
