SCGA'S CRAZY
EIGHT'S FREE GAS FLASH MOB EVENT
It is time for
another flash mob event on the Space Coast. On August 8th of
2008 (8-8-08) there will be events held all over the world.
We will again participate in this world wide event. The
Olympics also start at this very time. We will gather at 800
E Merritt Island Causeway in the parking lot exactly at 8:08 pm
based on the clock on your gps unit. A volunteer will blow a
whistle where everyone will get a log sheet to sign and place in
the designated box. At 8:13 pm we will all stand along the
roadway holding signs on how to get "free gas" (some will have
signs that read "free gas" while others will have signs that read
"eat beans"). We will hold these signs up for 2 minutes
causing complete pandemonium. At 8:15 we will gather for a
quick snack and prizes. At 8:20 we will all gather for a
group photo. 8:23 everyone will get in their cars and leave
the area leaving mass confusion to all muggles passing
by.
Come on out and
have a great time with fellow geocachers for a quick 15 minute
event. We are going to have a special coin for this event
commemorating the crazy eight events held all over the world.
This will be the exclusive "Florida" crazy eight coin. There
will only be 100 of these coins produced and they will be trackable
on GC.com.
