Fairly easy cache near launching point for Vanishing Texas River Cruise on Lake Buchanan
Placed by the Cousins Snow during a family reunion here in July 2008 while on a caching outing- we found a few ourselves and decided it would be fun to place one as a rememberance of the good times we had.
Not too tough to find, sats are decent, but watch for cactus and sticker burrs. Good swag for first few finders! Please be sure to replace the cache (a standard ammo box) as you found it, as it is within view of muggle-inhabited areas.
You can park right next to the cache location, so this is nearly a drive-up, but you're gonna have to walk a short distance. While you're there, check out the rest of Canyon of the Eagles and try the Vanishing Texas River Cruise- it's inexpensive and a lot of fun, plus a great way to see some of the local flora and fauna.
