I just found out the event coin should be here on the 12th, so
everything is on track for this event to happen when it's scheduled
to.
An afternoon to get together, discuss geocoins, add some new icons
to your profile, do some buying and trading, and enjoy good
company.
Geocoins have been around for quite a while now, and many local
cachers have been bitten by the geocoin bug. This event will be a
chance to show off your coin collection, or perhaps start one.
There will be different coins available for sale and trade, and an
event coin (with a regular, LE, and XLE version) will also be
available for purchase.
The activation codes for the coins will soon be available from
the 3 Geeks website (www.3geeks.ca).
Bring your coins to view and share, and there will be tables set
up to allow people to show what they have brought.
The schedule for the afternoon is fairly relaxed.
1:00pm - Event begins, registration and socializing
1:30pm - Regular geocoins go on sale, silent auction begins
2:00pm - Event geocoin goes on sale
2:20pm - End of silent auction of geocoins
2:30pm - Winner of geo-poker and drawing for door prizes
3:00pm - Clean-up and leave
The event will be held in Room C of the Keshen Goodman Public
Library in Clayton Park. There is wireless internet available but
you must have a library card to access the network.
If you don't have any geocoins, this may be your chance to start
collecting! There will be coins available for purchase, a few will
be in the door prizes, and there will be others involved in a
silent auction.
