Geocache Description:

Magalloway River Crossing is found in the area known as Wilson's Mills in Lincoln Plantation.

The Magalloway River drains the high lands of West-North Western Maine and extreme Northeastern New Hampshire up to the water shed division with Quebec. The water you see here has just passed through a hydro-electric turbine that you will find a mile East on route 16 at the base of the Aziscohos Dam. Water stored in Aziscohos Lake comes from some exotically named ponds and lakes. Rump Pond, Deer Pond, Moose Pond, Beaver Pond, Caribou Pond, Otter Pond and Parmachenee Lake are a few.

Aziscohos Lake elevation is 1517 feet above sea level and runs into Umbagog Lake a few miles below. Umbagog Lake is shared with New Hampshire.
