This is a offset multi cache in Franklin Park.
This significance of this park is not what's in it, but what surrounds it. The first point will take you to a plaque that gives some history of the general area.
Information from the first sign will take you to another sign that gives a very brief biography of the first female senator in Illinois. Information found there will take you to the final.
Go to the first waypoint. From here, you will need to walk ABC feet at DEF degrees to find the second plaque.
A= How many people donated the park?
B= The last digit of the year the park was listed on the National Register
C= This sign was erected on a certain day in May. The first digit of the day it was erected.
D= The number of women mentioned in the sign.
E= The last digit of the year the sign was erected.
F= How many years elapsed between being listed on the national register and the Historical District designation? Subtract 3 from that number.
You will need to leave the park to reach the second plaque, but not by much. Use caution when crossing the street.
The second plaque gives the coordinates for the final.
N40 29.GHJ
W88 59.KLM
G= How many Sanitariums did she help establish?
H= How many years did she serve in the senate?
J= The final digit of the year of her death.
K= How many organizations erected this sign? Add 1 to that number.
L= How many times does the letter R appear in her full name?
M= According to what is listed on this plaque, how many official positions did she hold? (Not accomplishments or duties, positions)
While this is all you need for the cache, I suggest walking the full perimeter of the park and reading some of the other plaques as well.
