Part 5 - Maux Faux's Mount Laura Trail - The Badlands
If you were Tommy Lee Jones, you'd ride a horse in.
If you were Josh Brolin, you'd walk in.
If you were Javier Bardem, you'd drive a stolen police car.
If you were any number of Mexican drug dealers, you'd be in a Ford Bronco.
If you are us, you'd pick the mountain bike option, as this is, well not really any country for anyone.
If you have seen the film this cache is named after, you will see the link between the scenery in the movie and the scenery out here. Think dry desert, stunted shrubs, dead trees and Mexican drug runners. Get to it anyway you can, but there are no real tracks close by, so it is either walk or ride for the last bit to the GZ.
Anyway, you'll be well rewarded when you get to the well concealed cache - not with a million dollars in cash or a cache of Mexican brown, but actually some decent, useful swaps. So if you do intend to swap, remember your cache karma and unless you bring a whole packet, leave the plastic army man at home.
