On the night of 19th September 1944 the Liberator EV 881 of the RAFs 547 Squadron crashed here.
There is a memorial plaque that lists the fatalities and the survivors. You will also find some wreckage debris scattered, it's my guess that this has been plundered for WW2 souvenirs over the years, so please try and leave what's left where it is. More information about 547 Squadron (aka The Kingfisher Club) can be found here... http://www.raf.mod.uk/history_old/h547.html This one will involve a short but challenging hike, so good walking boots are recommended. The closet parking spot is at N 51 56.634 W 4 43.568. The cache is a plastic box with a few trinkets in to get it started. Please do your best to hide the box again when you've finished with it.
