Geocache Description:

Can You Hear Me Now?

The above coordinates will take you to a view of a cell phone tower disguised as something else. This cache is accessible from a commuter lot at the Antire Road exit along I-44. Please do not park on the highway!

There are cell phone towers all around us, but we usually don't pay much attention to them. Some towers are purposely disguised in order to present a more pleasing view of the surrounding landscape. Some have no visible antennas, wires, or transmitters. Do you know a cell phone tower when you see one?

AT&T requested permission to place a tower in the Tyson Research Area. St. Louis County insisted that this tower blend in with the surrounding landscape. A tower manufacturer responded with this award-winning design.

Please DO NOT post pictures of the cell phone tower. If you know of another disguised tower, let us know in your log!

We want to thank Andrew Gates, Community Relations Specialist, and the MODOT area engineer for allowing this cache to be placed!
