Geocache Description:

Micro log only, BYOP and BYOT

R2P is a series I started. R2P means Respect to Protect. The other day a bunch of us cachers had converged on a cache for an FTF dash. After the cache was found we were all visiting and the subject turned to the concerns we have for the future of this game if cachers are not respecting the property they are caching on. We are concerned that we may start seeing signs in parks not allowing caches to be placed there because cachers are not taking care of the park. This would be a shame and limit our options in the future.
This series is to raise awareness of this problem and let us self govern this game so that an outside group doesn't get involved. I don't wish to hold any monopoly on this series. If you agree with me and are concerned as well, please put an R2P cache out of your own and pass the word along.
Maybe we can convince 7ofclubs to mint a coin for this cause ;)

This cache is hidden on a brand new walking/biking trail that I never knew was here. Bet you didn't either. I rated it a 2.5 to start but it may be a 3 on the difficulty. I will adjust if I hear enough whining. Trail starts about 200 feet North of the cache. There is plenty of parking West of the cache but do not park on the busy road and don't even try to get here from the on ramp of the freeway. It is not safe or legal.
For this cache, there is no reason to take anything apart, move any branches, cut any grass, kill any chicken, etc. Also, as part of this series please practice CITO (visit link) It would be nice to see our hobby always seen by others as a positive thing. There is plenty to clean up here.
