This really is a surprising
location, only the sound of the nearby A3 reminds you that you are
not in the real countryside.
The cache is located just
off one of the many footpaths in the "park".
See the waypoints below for
parking/access details Manor Drive North. The cache is also very
close to a couple of Church Micros GC1E0EC and GC1DYW2.
Please note, to get from the south of the park to the north on
foot, at the end of Long Meadows, go through the gate and onto the
pavement by the road. Turn immediately left and continue ahead for
200m, you will see a subway by some shops, go into the subway and
cross under the A3. Leave the subway by turning right up the slope,
cross over Elmbridge Ave and continue for approx 20m, take the gate
on your left onto Elmbridge Meadows and take the path on your
right, you should see a small weir, this is the Hogsmill River
again. This “urban” section of the walk is also signposted Hogsmill
Valley Walk, Thamesdown Link and London LOOP.
When hidden the cache
contained:
Log Book and Pencil
Hot Wheels Car (2008 first edition)
Digital video tape
Tigger Flannel
Room only for small swaps
