Geocache Description:

Ammo can worth the hunt

You will be using paved trails and another trail that is made out
of the material that is on baseball diamonds. The soft surface
trail is compacted so you can still bike on it easily. The City of Lenexa will be leaving as much of the fallen trees to decompose naturally (unless they fall on the trail). Fallen trees become homes for more than 20 different creatures. Eventually the tree will turn back into a rich soil for other trees to grow in. Depending on the size of the tree it could take between 5-20 years for it to become soil.

This cache is located in Black Hoof Park that opened July 7th, 2008.
It is a beautiful park that has been
made possible by the Lenexa's Rain to Recreation program. The trail
that this cache is located on is approximately 2 miles as it loops
around the lake so you could bike it. The surface is part paved and
a soft surface. Many of the caches can be done by walking with a
GPSr around the lake. If you complete the loop, you can garner in
all of them, if you follow the trails for some of the more distant
ones. Have fun, be safe and mind the attributes for nature's
surprises. Pay attention to the ratings for Difficulty and Terrain.
Rest rooms, picnic tables and drinking water are available near to
the parking coordinates.
