On an island in Flagstaff Lake. The terrain is rated 5 only because you need a boat.
Looking north from Myers Beach, at the end of Flagstaff Road, you will see two islands. Beyond these islands you will see Jim Eaton Hill and Picked Chicken Hill. Neither of these islands have names so we call them simply Island # 1 and Island # 2. This cache is about a 15 minute paddle from the beach. There is a narrow trail that runs the length of the island. The cache is maybe 2-3 feet off the trail but you will probably need to get down on your hands and knees to find it.
The container is a 5 1/2" x 4" Lock & Lock. It contains a log book, pencil, small loon, a geocaching magnet, a compass, a Bumblebutton, a Coleman lantern keychain, and for the FTF a package containing a FTF button, a lottery ticket scratcher (loon with a penny) and two Critter Poker lottery cards (the proceeds from those go to the Outdoor Heritage Fund).
This morning as I placed the cache around 8:00 AM there were two loons swimming beside the island. The mosquitoes were also happy to see me since they hadn't had breakfast yet!
