Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small lock&lock container covered in black hockey tape.

Cache is located along the former New York Central line between Welland and Fort Erie. After the building of the latest Welland Canal, this line was used to service industries on the canal's east side.

Over the years, several railways operated this line : Canada Southern, Michigan Central, New York Central, Penn Central, Conrail, and CP Rail. The Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo Railway had running rights here as well.

There are two abandoned lines between the cache location and the current CP Rail line, the one on the east, overgrown with vegetation, is the original ROW, and the one from the parking coords to the cache is the realignment of the early 70s.
