This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines:**You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing.**

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.

Geocache Description:

A small easy cache on one of the footpaths around the York area.

In York and the surrounding areas there is a wonderful maze of footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways to delight the walker. This is a series of caches that are along the these public ways around York

The Ebor Way is a 70 mile (112 km) long-distance footpath fromHelmasley, North Yorkshire, to Ilkley. It takes its name from Eboracum the Roman name for York.
This walk connects the Cleveland Way and Dales Way running through the vale of York. The trail runs Tadcaster and Wetherby. It was first developed in the 1970s by the Ebor Acorn Rambling Club.

Millennium Way Walk -A 23 mile (37km) walk linking the Historic Open Strays of York.

Centenary Way - A route devised to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Yorkshire County Council. It runs across the Howardian Hills and Yorkshire Wolds via Castle Howard and Wharram Percy, linking York and the Foss Walk with the Wolds Way and Cleveland Way National Trails. Meeting the Derwent and Foss, it combines riverside walks in deep valleys with forest tracks.

The Jorvik Way which is a footpath running from York to Oxton.

This cache is on the Foss Way, you will NOT need to be on the bridge. Take care of small children and dogs as you will be by the River Foss.
