Victoria Barracks is a Heritage listed site containing, as it does, many reminders of early life in the Colony of Queensland and the early days of the Commonwealth. The buildings date from 1864, although the majority were built just before or just after Federation. The Barracks is still in use today as a Tri-Service institution and so public access is not generally available during the working week. There is however a very good Military History Museum open from 1 – 4 pm on Sundays. NB: There is no need to enter the Barracks. The cache is not within the range of the security camera. This is a micro cache (BYO Pen)
