Geocache Description:

Found on town property adjacent to a highway right of way. This is NOT highway accessible. Well established loop back trail with a few muddy spots. Minor bushwacking (less than 35yards) to find the final.

Placed by Cloud as our first cache. Though a little noisy, this is a little gem of an area. Find the bench on the knoll for a special treat (though I won't spill the secret if the treat will be for you or the skeeters). Dog walkers and occassional ATVs will visit the area. Trail is clearly visible, even in winter though the marks on the trees are quite faded. You'll have a few muddy spots along the first fifty yards of the trail, but it will soon dry out for a pleasant walk.

Stage 1 you will find, a happy gnome passing time. If you ask with order and respect, the way to wander for what you expect, he will share the code to his cache. He has hidden his treasure nearby but guards the secret carefully to keep the trolls and hobs away. He has shared with us his secret, which we will share with you. "Add then subtract 00.100 from what I say, you'll know for sure which way to turn when your guide leads you somewhere safe and dry."

The final will start with a plethora of swag, specifically for our GeoKids, though things are a little cramped at this time... Keeping in theme with a GeoKid Cache (try saying that 10 times fast), the FTF prize is specially for a Geokid...

Safe parking along Cedar Street near trailhead: N42 10.116 x W071 50.502 a short distance east of this is a fire dept dry hydrant/pond with a curb cut. Easy to pull off the road here but please DO NOT block the gate or dry hydrant. WARNING: DANGER DANGER (Will Robinson): DO NOT attempt this cache from the interstate. The cache is NOT within the highway right of way. A 6ft chain link fence seperates the cache from the highway row. There is no need to climb or cross this fence line at any time. The trail will go right through a gate and run parallell to the highway with a fence on both sides of you for a short distance.

Special Note 5/22/12... Cache was muggled, A temporary container has been put in place. Sorry kids, no goodies in this orange matchstick container.
