Geocache Description:

Welcome to Lucas Cemetery. If there are people here, please don't disturb them. Please be respectful and be careful around the stones.

There used to be a house just north of the cemetery (in all the brush) and it was known to be haunted. Some TV network even did a story about it (long time ago.) I think it might be mentioned in the "Haunted Wisconsin" book also. My point is - be nice here - the ghost gets mad easily. I've had a terrible time with caches here. They fill up with water (even water tight containers!) and they disappear. If this new container causes the ghost problems, I'll place a bison tube here instead!

Lucas Cemetery has many nice older stones. While researching this cemetery I found many children's deaths during late spring and early summer of 1883. I'm not sure what illness took so many children. The Watson family lost Johnie, Lizzie, Barbara and Thomas all within a 3 month period. There were adult deaths as well, but nothing compared to the number of children. The earlier graves include: Charlie Dille 1879, Cora Foster 1876, Luella Dilley 1875, Sarah Chauney 1875, Laura Laughlin 1880, William Birthman 1880, Ruth Betts 1853-1883, Marietta Thum 1883, Lohnie, Lizzie, Barbara, and Thomas Watson 1883, Nettie Gray 1872-1884, Isabelle Whiteford 1801-1885, Miranda Snow 1810-1892.

This cache is not by a grave.

To find the cache, go to the posted coordinates and read about the person buried there. The cache is NOT located there.

The cache is at: N44 53.ABC W092 05.DEF

Answer the following questions to get the final coordinates.

A = The number of L's in the last name.
B = The second digit of the date of death.
C = The number of letters in the first name.
D = The number of letters in the last name.
E = The month of death.
F = The second digit of the date of death.

The cache is a small square lock n'lock container about 6" x 6" x 1". It will hold small items, small TB's or a geocoin. It's well hidden but I'm sure the ghost knows where it is!!!
