Welcome to the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary, located just East of Liberty MO. Martha’s dream: The Nature Sanctuary is the dream of Martha Lafite Thompson. She wanted to create a place for wildlife and you. Thank you for protecting her dream by: staying on the trails, leaving only your footprints, and taking only trash and photos.
Please remember that collection of ANY plants, animals, minerals, or parts of these is not permitted at this nature preserve.
Thank you for ensuring quality habitat by leaving dogs and other pets, bikes, rollerblades and skateboards at home.
Please stay on the marked trails, neither of the caches are more than a few feet from the trail, no digging is required. Trails are opened from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. winter and 8am - 8pm summer (check the hours and rules on entry), the Nature Center is opened 9-5, Tuesday to Saturday.
