This is the second in our farming fields series.
My dad started farming 70 acres of prime farm ground in 1965. The ground was owned by Mollie Barnes, we called it either the Barnes Place or Mollie’s. At that time we had our own railroad crossing between 50 acres on the west side of the U.P. tracks and 20 acres with an irrigation reservoir on the East side of the tracks. The 20 acres on the East side is now in homes taking up N. Celia Way, Davis Way, and others. Over the past 40 years we have grown onions, corn, wheat, barley, alfalfa, and green beans. About 5 years ago we lost about 10 acres to the storage sheds which leaves us with roughly 41 acres of farmable ground. The cache is located in the corner of the property in a clump of trees. Please be aware of possible muggle sightings - there is room to park right next to the cache, but you may want to park across the street on the road to the school and walk to the cache. As always, look both ways before you cross!
Update: 4/25/09
Due to the lack of vegetation I have moved the cache less than 10 feet from the original location, the cache is now behind the rosebush in a clump of trees.
