Geocache Description:

Located along the abandoned New Portage Railroad lies a cavern whose purpose was once important. A local berry harvester who stumbled upon this cavern while filling his old dented berry pails convinced me it could be the start to a great cache. After pondering the idea for a while, this cache was created and placed by the abandoned railroad.

You will want to start by parking at N40-24.903 / W078-27.162 where there will be a cable blocking the trail. From here, if you wish to just explore the cavern, travel to the posed coordinates. The cache is very close to the cavern. However, if you wish to find the cache by obtaining the exact coordinates, you will need to read the hiddin hint below.

If you plan your hunt at the right time of the year, you too can enjoy the abundance of berries. If you run into the local berry harvester, distinguishable by his overflowing old dented up metal berry pails, bluish / reddish stained hands, and thorn covered arms, ask him about the cavern’s history; it’s hard to say what the response will be.

The Hidden Hint: N40-24.871 / W078-27.204... At this tree you will see a mini hide with the hint to thee. Just read the hint if you choose as it will be of great use.

WARNING: While attempting to find this cache, proceed at your own risk and with caution.
