Geocache Description:

Parking coordinates are N 42 55.633 W 080 36.160 The cache is located in the wooded area of a public park. Easy walk or bicycle ride from parking area to trail head via the pedestrian bridge, then some hilly terrain. There is a sign that says no bicycles allowed. Everyone ignores it because it is a stupid old rule from a half century ago. No bushwhacking required. May be muddy at times. Winter accessible. Bring a pen just in case I don't maintain one in the container.

Cache is a camouflaged peanut butter jar. Cache contents when hidden was a log book and a pen. The cache was named for the baseball player Steve Lake whose baseball card was in the original container. The small body of water created by the dam you will pass by is the "Frog Pond". The Frog Pond has been drained! The dam is not functional nor is the pump being used. They used to fill the pool at the beginning of the year from this pond. It is spring fed so it was very cold especially at 8:00 AM swimming lessons. I still remember the blue lips and shivers after lessons.
