Traditional cache in one of Yorkshire's best beauty spots. Almost a
drive by (if you're camping!)
Gordale Scar is a fantastic place and has been one of my favourites
since I moved to Yorkshire over 30 years ago. A great walk is up
the scar follwoing the path to Malham Tarn and down the dry valley
to the top of the Cove. You can then descend and walk along Malham
Beck into Malham and return to Gordale via Janet's Foss. The cache
is a medium sized snap lock plastic box hidden under a boulder and
covered by a small rock. (See spoiler) The coords may be a bit out
as they were bouncing around all over. The published figures are
the average of many readings. Please push it right back in when you
replace it as this is a very busy muggle area. This is likely to
increase the difficulty rating during summer lunchtimes.
