This is a small cache, just off of Crookton Rd (Rt 66). Log and very small items only, BYOP. Please leave cache as well hidden as you find it. Watch for snakes, and it is always a good idea to have gloves with you.
Easy parking just off road. This cache is about 60 or 70 feet from an old overgrown section of Route 66, hence the name of the cache.
Route 66 was once one of the more important roads to the western U.S.. Now most of it is gone, covered over, or just big empty pieces of old concrete.
To get there from the west, take Crookton Rd from the neat town of Seligman. From the east, take (Crookton Rd) exit 139 from I-40.
