Fake rock hid at "The Stockade Gazebo"
The Florence Stockade, also known as the Confederate States Military Prison at Florence, was a prisoner-of-war camp which operated from September 1864 through February 1865. During this time, as many as 18,000 Union soldiers were imprisoned there; 2738 of these men died. In May of 1866, the burial site of these soldiers was declared a National Cemetery by the US government. This Cache is hid with the permission of "The Friends of the Florence Stockade". There is on bushwhacking required due to the Historic Significance of this this location. BYOP
