9000 Ghosts? - A Night Cache Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

CCrew: Archiving this one off. The Mrs had a bit of an encounter with a not so savory type this week while running in the battlefield and the local PD said it's the second in as many weeks. I'd hate for something to happen to someone that was searching for this especially since it's a night cache and I'd rather err on the side of safety. Thanks for all that have hunted and found this.

Geocache Description:

Almost 9000 men died here. They say when it's dark they still walk the grounds. You might just find more than a cache.

AS USUAL FOR NIGHT CACHES, THE COORDINATES LISTED ARE NOT THOSE OF THE CACHE. Rather, they are the start of your night time adventure.

Wait until it is dark enough to begin the hunt. This cache will only be possible when it is dark. At night, it should be fairly easy and a lot of fun. The difficulty rating reflects the final area, and the distance to the cache. Not mentioning the fact that you have to find your way back.
For this cache, you need to bring a flashlight. You need a “good” flashlight, not a keyring LED or some wimpy single AA-cell Mag-light. If possible, you’d like it to project a beam out to 100 feet, though we’ve tried to place the markers closer together. If you cannot see the next marker you may have to adjust your position 20-30 feet. You should also bring a friend with a flashlight. First, they provide you with a backup light in case yours fails. And second, it is always a good idea to have someone with you at night. They can help scare away any unwanted ghosts, or even wildlife that might be out looking for dinner. Ideally, this friend should NOT be able to run as fast as you can.

To Find The Cache: (Please print this part out and bring it with you on the trail, follow the instructions closely)
The Hike is a roundtrip total of 2.5 miles.

Start: Begin at the listed coordinates, the starting point of a trail after it is fully dark, the darker the better. Turn on your flashlight and slowly illuminate the surrounding terrain. You are looking for a small silver reflector that will mark the onset of your journey. Watch out there is a little bit of uneven ground here, but you will be on established trails. There is no need to deviate from established trails until you get to the cache itself. Best approach is to stay on trail until parallel with a marker, then sight for the next marker in the series. *Again* - there is no need to venture off trail until the very end.

Middle: Continue to look for additional small silver round reflectors, walk towards them. Repeat the procedure, following the trail of reflectors along the way. Watch your step, the trails may have up rooted tree roots and ruts along the trail. There is one bridge to cross, be sure to exercise proper caution. Reflectors have their best visibility when you are holding the flashlight at eye level.

End: The cache location is the "X" made from five small silver round reflectors.

Return: You waypointed the car, right? Should you survive this journey you'll need to use that...

If your log contains any spoilers, please encrypt them so not to ruin it for others. Have fun, but be safe and do not aggravate the ghosts or feed the animals.

And yes, honestly they really do say this place is haunted ground....
