muttoneer: Popped down to replace the logbook and noticed what an awful state the cache site is in - lots of rubbish and broken glass, much less pleasant than when I placed it here originally!

With this in mind I decided to archive this one rather than maintain it - since the additional logging requirement was made optional very few people have taken the time to play along and post a random act of kindness in their log, without which this is just another box in the undergrowth.

Geocache Description:

A fairly straightforward cache down a pleasant cyclepath, in fact it's not even a mystery cache any more, just a traditional.

Before Groundspeak banned the use of additional logging requirements in order to claim this as a find you needed to perform a random act of kindness and describe it in your log. That requirement no longer stands, but please try to join in with the spirit of this cache and perform one anyway!

This cache is hidden on the Trans Pennine Trail, a cycleway stretching from Southport in Lancashire to Hornsea in Lincolnshire. It is one of the longer cyclepaths in the UK and is largely composed of traffic free sections such as this one, following the old Ditton Junction to Skelton Junction railway line.

The cache is hidden not far from the site of Heatley and Warburton station. In fact if you park up at the Railway Inn on the B5159 and take the path east the first building on your left is the disused station, unfortunately in a poor state of repair.

The cache is a small lock & lock container hidden just off the track. Please leave it hidden as you found it.

Once you have found the cache you may be feeling happy. Go forth and spread that happiness by performing a random act of kindness to a friend, a loved one, a complete stranger, even an animal or bird. Be creative.

If everyone did something nice for someone else just once a day the world would be a much nicer place. Thank you for doing your bit to help.
