Swan
Lake

It’s been several years
since I did the balancing act and wandered into the wetlands to
find
Uneswido Wetland
Walk by
SA_ParrotHead and the area has certainly changed.
The path has been woodchipped
(although that was a while ago and the path is now overgrown in
patches), and bridges have made the water traversals easier,
although the first bridge was underwater when I went for a walk
when placing the cache. A bird hide has been installed and is a
great spot to watch all the swans currently nesting in the area.
There are many couples and already quite a few cygnets. The swans
didn’t bother me on my walk, but you shouldn’t get too
close to them as they are quite wary and may attack.

The cache is a small sistema
containing log, pencil, note and trinkets. If the gate is opened,
don’t try doing it as a drive-by (although it does look like
a lot of fun in a 4X4) as the workers will lock it behind them when
they leave. I was there for 40minutes and the gate was open when I
arrived and locked when I left.
Note: Dogs are not permitted in
the area.
