Pooh Land Tuck Traditional Cache

Ice cream pail. Quick, easy access. Lots of mosquitoes this year. On private property with permission to pass to cache only. Park on shoulder of lightly traveled road. Nearby field access is on neighboring property with no permission to pass.
This cache is in honor of the honeybee, one of our most important insects. Over 50 crops grown in the US are regularly pollinated by honeybees, with other crops being indirectly effected (such as beef and dairy being effected by pollination of alfalfa, which is grown for hay to feed cattle). The demand for bee pollination of the California almond crop is so great that bees are shipped in from as far away as Maine and Florida to meet the demand.
Associated with this cache are samples of honeycomb built by bees, comb foundation supplied by the beekeeper to get the bees to build the combs where the beekeeper wants them to, and a frame with artificial queen cell cups used for raising queen bees. Please leave these with the cache for the next person to enjoy.
Included in the original cache are a log book, fact sheets with information and trivia about bees and honey, 5 small beeswax chunks, an empty honey sample jar, and some junk off my desk, including: 2 small glass bowls, hair comb, eraser, 2 large wooden beads, bolt nut and washer, screw, rope tightener, pony tail holder, 2 pens, 2 pencils, metal electrical outlet cover, and a drawer pull.
