Geocache Description:

This Geocache will be in place between the Autumnal Equinox on September 22 at 11:44 AM and the end of fall on December 21 at 8:04 AM. You can celebrate the beginning of fall by hunting for the Geocache. We established our first Autumnal Equinox Geocache (waypoint: GC1E15)seven years ago.

The cache is located in the edge of a woods only about 50 feet from mowed grass.

The Autumnal Equinox occurs when sun crosses the plane of Earth's equator. This makes the length of day and night approximately equal. From now on until next spring we will receive sunlight for less than half the day, bringing on first fall and then winter.

The Autumnal Equinox 4 Cache is located in a black plastic Lock-N-Lock box. Please replace the cache the way you found it.




This cache is located within Lake Erie Metropark, a part of the Huron-Clinton Metropolitan Authority park system. A Metropark Vehicle Entry Permit is required: Annual Permit $20. Senior Permit $12. Daily Permit $4.
