The co-ordinates for this cache can be found in the Wassand Walk series of caches.
The above co-ordinates are not the correct co-ordinates but are co-ords for the road nearest the first cache where there is some on-road parking. Alternately if intending to cache between the hours of 10am and 6pm, you can park at Hornsea Freeport where the path from the far car park takes you through the cemetery to the rail trail and a quick right on the line, a left at the end through the allotments takes you onto the road near the path for the first cache in the series. But note, the gates close & lock just after 6pm.
This series of caches will take you on a pleasant 4 mile walk past Hornsea Mere, Wassand Hall, Goxhill and returning on the Hornsea Rail Trail. However, with a bit of careful planning the series can be done as a series of cache and dashes but then you’d miss out on some lovely countryside and may have walked nearly as far in any case!
Please respect the estate notices found along the route. When setting the cache we did notice that the footpath between caches 1 & 2 passed through two fields with notices warning of a Bull in the Field and so common sense should be exercised (keep away from the livestock) when in these fields.
